SLC SSD are targetted for enterprise and industrial applications.  Each cell on the slab of silicon is either on or off meaning writing to the disk is a lot simpler for the processor chip within the ssd.  A Solid State Disk drive with SLC NAND Flash is more expensive than an MLC disk due to the fact that the disk needs to use larger amounts of NAND Flash to achieve the required drive size.  This is the reason why SLC sizes are limited with 256GB SATA SSD being the largest available.  All 2.5 inch SATA ssd can be converted to 3.5 inch SATA SSD using our purpose built boxes that duplicate the ports onthe outside of the enclosure.  If you need 3.5 inch SATA SSD - choose any 2.5 inch SATA SSD and add a converter box available here (see below)
