Mini PCIe is a format used by manufacturers such as ASUS and Dell to allow a smaller footprint PC to be created. This gives a lighter and smaller as the drives are only the size of a PCB.

The interface is either PATA or SATA depending on the interface required by the system and either 5cm or 7cm long by 3cm wide. Kingspec produced a hybrid where either the 5cm or 7cm could be used in the same systems (if you need a 5cm long drive you snip off the extra section which has no electronics). We have stock of these though they have changed their design recently to move away from this design.
